Completed in 2022, this building serves as a café & skate rental for the Grand Junction Plaza. Its pixelated and limestone-capped outer shell is a homage to Indiana’s reputation for having the very best quarried limestone in the U.S.
My scope of work includes:
- The limestone-capped aluminum tube assemblies that encompass roughly 60% of the perimeter of the building.
- The vertical glazing that covers the remaining 40%.
- The painted aluminum panels at the exterior transitions.
- The triangulated interior panels.
I generated the shop drawings for the customer and architect’s approval. I also generated the glass sizes and the fabrication & assembly drawings for our shop to produce all of the framing and brake metal.
