Software experience

CAD and Drafting

AutoCAD + AutoLISP

  • 20+ years of drafting experience with AutoCAD, starting with version 2000i
  • Assisted in the development of CAD standards within our organization to achieve a more homogenous product
  • Developed multiple routines to streamline time-consuming tasks, reduce human error and interact with other programs
  • Developed tools to extract data from AutoCAD tables. Data is then used downstream in SharePoint lists that feed into a custom app built on the MS Power Platform

  • Developed a spreadsheet to calculate bend allowance / bend deductions for sheet metal, custom-matched to our brake press parameters. The spreadsheet outputs the finished girth, gives location of all bend lines and even has the ability to create geometry in AutoCAD that replicates the inputted values

CNC programming

EluCAD + Enroute

  • 15+ years of experience using EluCAD to program complex operations such as compound miters and free-defined milling on a SBZ151 machine
  • Developed multiple custom macros to reduce programing time

  • Developed interactive Power BI presentation which includes both desktop and mobile layouts.
  • Proficient with MS Teams, including some of the more advanced features

Programming / Coding

Multiple Languages

  • Have studied C++, Java, JavaScript, Visual Basic, Python and more
  • As coding is not my primary field, I have not been able to dedicate the time required to become proficient with any one specific language. I do, however, understand the core concepts of O.O.P and am able to use this knowledge to achieve the desired results -- given enough time... and visits to stackoverflow.com.

Q & A Section

  • What sets you apart from other candidates?

Curiosity, tenacity and the unwillingness to take “no” for an answer until I’m confident that I’ve exhausted all options available to me.

  • Why does your education stop at Associates Degree?

Circumstances were such that when I was presented an opportunity to start a career, I took it — at the expense of my educational goals. I am, however, proud of what I’ve learned on my own. I have a very curious mind, I am a quick study and possess a great deal of self-motivation — a combination that has helped me succeed at most of my undertakings.
